Creating Alerts

From the Chart

The fastest way to create an alert:

1. Right-click on the chart at the desired price level
2. Select Create Alert
3. The instrument and price are pre-filled
4. Adjust the condition, trigger, and notifications
5. Click Save

From the Alerts Panel

1. Open the Alerts panel from the left sidebar
2. Click Create Alert
3. Fill in the alert configuration:
   • Name -- A label for the alert
   • Message -- Text shown when the alert triggers
   • Instrument -- The instrument to monitor
   • Condition -- How the price is evaluated
   • Trigger -- How often the alert fires
   • Expiration -- When the alert automatically stops
   • Notifications -- How you want to be notified
4. Click Save

Alert Configuration

Name and Message

• Name -- A short label to identify the alert in your list
• Message -- A custom message displayed when the alert fires (e.g., "AAPL broke above resistance")

Expiration

Set an expiration date/time. After expiration, the alert automatically stops monitoring. The minimum expiration is 10 minutes from the current time.
