Creating an Account

Sign Up

1. Navigate to chartlabs.co
2. Click Sign Up or Register
3. You are redirected to the ChartLabs identity provider
4. Enter your email address and create a password
5. Verify your email if required
6. You are redirected back to ChartLabs and logged in

Logging In

1. Go to chartlabs.co
2. Click Log In
3. Enter your credentials on the login page
4. After authentication, you are redirected to the platform at /charts

Account Security

ChartLabs uses Keycloak, an enterprise-grade identity provider:

• Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
• Sessions are managed with short-lived JWT access tokens
• Tokens refresh automatically in the background
• If your session expires, you are prompted to log in again

After Signing Up

Once logged in, you can:

1. Explore the chart -- A default chart loads with a pre-selected instrument
2. Set up a workspace -- Arrange panels and save your layout
3. Create a watchlist -- Add instruments you want to monitor
4. Connect a broker -- Start paper trading immediately or connect a live broker
5. Set up your profile -- Choose a username, bio, and avatar for social features
